Driving lesson

Last week we went to the Leinster driving school in Maynooth. We spent most of our day there and came back with only 3 classes left to do and it was home time. Our day was well spent. We left the school at 9:00 and got the bus straight there. The class was split in to two groups of 14, the other group went driving first and our group went inside to do a theory test. We got in to smaller groups of 3 then to do the test. After, the man corrected them all and the group who got the most points were given a free driving lesson. Sadly it wasn't my group who got the voucher, in fact we came last... We then had our break and it was then our turn for driving. I was in a group with Megan and Sinead and we all took turns driving our car. The man who was teaching us was very friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed it and can't wait until i can drive.

Selma

The other week we went to the cinema to watch Selma in the cinema in liffey valley as part as a history lesson the movie Selma is set in 1965 when Dr Martin Luther king, Jr. led a dangerous campaign to secure equal voting rights in the face of violent opposition. It really educated me and it was very interesting. I now know a lot more about the 1965 period and Dr Martin Luther king, Jr. after the movie we then got the bus home and got collected. It was a good day.

our play and work experience

Last week we preformed our play willow which we have been practising for weeks in school and preformed it in competition in the Briary gap in mullingar. A lot of different schools went and we all preformed our play for a judge. all the plays were very good and everything went well. It was a good day out and coming up with the play and acting it out was very fun. We will not know which school won the competition for another while but we all did very well and it was a great experience.
  I am doing work experience in Becky's beauty salon in Maynooth and I am enjoying it very much. I have only two weeks left and I will be sad when it is over. I am looking forward to this week.

Today is our first back day in school after our two weeks off for the Christmas holidays. I had a great Christmas with my family and a great new years with my friends. I had a good time over the hilidays. We are going to the young scientist this Thursday and i'm looking forward to it and to the weekend:))

Last Friday all the Ty's went on a maths trip to Rathbeggan lake in co.meath. We stayed there for about two hours. We all got in to groups of 4 and did separate maths problems around the lake. After, we then went to blancherstown shopping centre for lunch. We stayed there for a good while then went back to school for 3:20 it was a good day overall and i enjoyed it.
   We are off school in two weeks for Christmas and i'm really excited. Next week in the school we all have Christmas exams and on Wednesday all the Ty's are going to see elf the musical in the bord gais. It will be good fun.

fashion show!!

Last week in school we had the fashion show that we have been planning from the start of the year. It lasted over two nights and it was great fun. I sold my mini company idea at the fashion show. I had to sell it on my own as the other people in my group were being models. Everyone was great. Lots of people modelled in the fashion show including some of the teachers and they all showed off clothes from different shops. A few people sang and danced and it really was a great night.
