Today is our first back day in school after our two weeks off for the Christmas holidays. I had a great Christmas with my family and a great new years with my friends. I had a good time over the hilidays. We are going to the young scientist this Thursday and i'm looking forward to it and to the weekend:))

Last Friday all the Ty's went on a maths trip to Rathbeggan lake in co.meath. We stayed there for about two hours. We all got in to groups of 4 and did separate maths problems around the lake. After, we then went to blancherstown shopping centre for lunch. We stayed there for a good while then went back to school for 3:20 it was a good day overall and i enjoyed it.
   We are off school in two weeks for Christmas and i'm really excited. Next week in the school we all have Christmas exams and on Wednesday all the Ty's are going to see elf the musical in the bord gais. It will be good fun.

fashion show!!

Last week in school we had the fashion show that we have been planning from the start of the year. It lasted over two nights and it was great fun. I sold my mini company idea at the fashion show. I had to sell it on my own as the other people in my group were being models. Everyone was great. Lots of people modelled in the fashion show including some of the teachers and they all showed off clothes from different shops. A few people sang and danced and it really was a great night.

carton house

Last week we went to carton house as an art trip. It was very interesting. Some of the art was inside and more was outside in the trees, on the water etc.. it was a great day. We didn't really spend much time looking at the art though as we got distracted, because the irish rugby team were there! They were busy training so we didn't get to meet them but i did meet tommy bowe and also got his autograph and a picture with him

mini company

Right now in ty we are very busy with mini company. Im in a group with sinead and megan. Each group has to have a sample of our ideas in by tomorrow when we have mini company to show to our teacher. Me and shinzo were very busy last night:)) We have decided to make polaroid picture collages on a string and have decided to decorate them with flowers and lights etc. Heres an example.. 

 

halloweennn

This week has been quiet in St. Wolstans. Nothing much has happened except i have so many projects to catch up on!  But i am very excited for halloween which is next friday. This friday is our last day then we are off for a week for our halloween holidays. Because it is our last day we are all dressing up. Each year has a theme to dress up as. The transition years are all dressing up as zombies and i am excited to take part. It will be a fun day.

work experience

the past 3 weeks i have been working in hazel hall nursing home in clane every Wednesday for my work experience. The staff are very nice and my times are from 10 to 3 with half an hour break. For the past 3 weeks i have been doing different tasks i had to clean wardrobes and rooms, file and paint some nails and feed a women her dinner. Last week i had to paint pictures and play bingo with the men and women. I mostly just keep the people company and help them with anything they need. It is a great experience for me and helps me figure out what i will want to do in the future. I cant wait for my next place i go to.
  We also had the fun walk. It was anti bully week and each class in the school made up a dance to a song. all the years were really good! We did beauty and the beast. Sinead was the beast and Mr Lawlor was beauty. It was hilarious seeing Mr Lawlor dressed up as a women. I thought our dance was really good but sadly we didn't win. After each class did there dance we all went on a walk around celbridge and went home.
  Last week we had walk in my shoes. Walk in my shoes is a mental health charity that promotes mental health and mental health awareness. Our school was raising awareness, by everyone wearing a pair of different shoes and bringing in 2 euro to help St.Patricks university hospital. People were wearing all kinds of shoes from slippers to high heels. It was a great day.
